We are celebrating our 40th anniversary of serving Rugby and the
surrounding areas no differently to usual – by being there when customers need us.
Having been servicing the Rugby area for a number of years, our territory
has expanded considerably, mostly over the last 2 years. Regular work is now undertaken
in the surrounding towns of Warwick, Royal Leamington Spa, Daventry, Lutterworth and
Coventry City thanks to their reputation.
The 40th Anniversary of the company comes at an unusual time – where usually we
would be able to get together and celebrate, the Custom Heat team are instead
celebrating by working incredibly hard with only a skeleton crew of volunteers to keep
Warwickshire, Northamptonshire and Leicestershire’s residents warm and safe during
these difficult times.
Lincoln Smith, Managing Director at Custom Heat, is proud to still be operating a limited
emergency service during the nationwide lockdown;
“The COVID-19 crisis has been unprecedented and had an almost immediate and
profound impact on our business since the UK entered lockdown. Initially, I considered
completely closing the business for the safety and wellbeing of our team and customers.
However, once we had been identified as key workers, many of our engineers volunteered
to be part of the emergency-only call-out service that we’re now operating for the
duration of the lockdown. We wanted to make sure we were still here for those who
might have gas or water leaks or lose their heating or hot water during this incredibly
difficult period as much as we would be any other time.
Operating an emergency service with only a handful of our team wasn’t how I’d expected
to celebrate our 40th birthday as a company – but we’re proud to be able to provide an
essential service to those in need while maintaining strict social distancing and safety
