Custom Heat staff rally behind local charity to help those in need stay warm this winter
Kind-hearted staff at Custom Heat are helping vulnerable residents stay warm by collecting donations for a local charity during the coldest weeks of the year.
Staff at Custom Heat supported vulnerable members of the local community in January by collecting donations for Clothing Coventry, a charity that provides essential clothing and footwear to anyone struggling during the winter months.
The team has been gathering donations of clothing, shoes, school uniform and hygiene products, which was delivered directly to Clothing Coventry at the end of January. The charity distributes these items to people in need across Coventry, helping them stay warm and comfortable during the coldest period of the year.
To make supporting the initiative as easy as possible, Custom Heat engineers have been offering to collect suitable unwanted items when carrying out work in customers’ homes keeping heating systems running, as well as accepting donations at the company’s premises.
Lincoln Smith, Managing Director at Custom Heat, said: “We know how important it is to stay warm during winter, and sadly not everyone has access to adequate clothing and footwear when temperatures drop. Clothing Coventry does vital work in our local community, and we wanted to do our bit to support them. By working together with our customers and team, we hope to make a practical difference to people who need it most.”
Custom Heat, which has operated as a family-run business since the 1980s, employs around 70 people and provides heating installations, plumbing, boiler servicing, heat pump installations and electrical work across the Midlands and South West regions.
Clothing Coventry accepts donations of good quality clothing, shoes, school uniforms and hygiene products, which are passed directly to individuals and families facing hardship.
