Renewable heating and hot water systems
As the world moves on and there is more and more focus on renewable heating and hot water systems we thought we would detail exactly what we are able to offer when it comes to renewable installations. Custom Heat is a family business trading since 1980 now covering most of the midlands. We have been fitting heating, hot water, air conditioning and renewable systems for a long time now. We cover most of the midlands including Rugby, Daventry, Leamington Spa, Peterborough, Stratford upon Avon, Coventry, parts of Birmingham and everywhere in between. If you are looking for a renewable heating or hot water system here are some of the things to consider. We also offer Air Source Heat Pump Servcie & repair and also Ground Source Heat Pump Servcie & Repair through-out this area.
Air Source heat pumps are very efficient and very low when it comes to carbon burning. We find nearly every house on mains gas is not suitable for an air source heat pump due to the cost of installation and also the cost of the fuel, electric vs mains gas. We have also found over time that the house needs to be as efficient as possible so there might be measures we also need to look at such as cavity wall insulation, loft insulation, double glazing etc The most common use for an air source heat pump is a new build house as its designed and built with the use of a heat pump in mind meaning you’ll get the maximum efficiency and maximum benefits from the Air Source Heat Pump. We as a company can call out, free of charge, to survey the home or business and produce costs vs benefits sheets to show you your outlay vs your return in a few fairly simple steps. Ground Source Heat Pumps are another form of renewable heat or indirect hot water. Ground Source heat pumps have even more limited uses compared to Air Source. Unlike Air Source, Ground Source can cope with much larger properties and gets its best application when the heating coils are laid in a pond or large lake as the transfer of heat is better in water. Ground Source normally requires large areas of land (or a lake) for the installation although bore holes can be used but at a significant extra cost on the installation due to the machine needed to bore the holes out. Again we as a company can call out, free of charge, to survey the home or business and produce costs vs benefits sheets to show you your outlay vs your return in a few fairly simple steps. Solar Thermal Hot Water is another form of renewable hot water. The typical installation consist of 2 solar thermal panels on the roof with pipework running through the loft and connecting on to a pump station in the airing cupboard. You will need a new cylinder that is compatible with Solar thermal, this normally has 2 connections, 1 for the boiler to connect on to and one for the solar thermal to connect on to so your thermal can provide most of the heat but using a boiler for topping up the heat when needed or during. peak time. Again we as a company can call out, free of charge, to survey the home or business and produce costs vs benefits sheets to show you your outlay vs your return in a few fairly simple steps.
